Our Mission

Our church is a Christian Community Church of people who believe in God and who have accepted Jesus Christ as the Guide and Master of their lives. We who make up the Christian church believe that God, through Jesus Christ can transform individuals in such a way as to cause them to want to be like, and act like Jesus in every area of their daily lives.

Church Profile

The first service was held on July 4, 1971, by Reverend William L. Dillard, Pastor, who is organizer and founder of St. Timothy Community Church (Non-Denominational). The membership consisted of 45 people.

In August 1973 Dr. William L. Dillard resigned as pastor.  After the resignation of Dillard, Deacon Johnnie W. Brown served as Interim Pastor of St. Timothy under the training of the Southern California Conference of Community Churches, with Dr. Norris as President. After training for 3 months, he accepted his call to the Ministry and was called to pastor St. Timothy Church.  Reverend Dr. Johnnie W. Brown  served as pastor for 20+ years.  He passed from labor to reward January 1998.

In November 1998 Elder Eullas "Jim" James was elected as Pastor. Pastor James has worked hard to continue the work that was started at St. Timothy in 1971. Pastor James and First Lady Monica James are a real blessing.  Pastor James enjoys working with and encouraging the youth. He is always willing to join the team whether it's basketball, baseball or bowling. He especially enjoys working with our Boys to Men program, helping to mentor young men, some without fathers in the home.  Today our membership is over 200.

Sis. Monica is a Sunday School teacher and works closely with the Youth Department. You can always find Sis. Monica surrounded by children. She is always encouraging them to go further and try harder when you are doing something for God. She lets them know that they to can do the work of the Lord. She also works with our food distribution program, The Lord Food Basket, and our Mission Department.

Together, Pastor James and First Lady Monica James, welcome everyone to be a part of the St. Timothy Community Church Family.
